ZBS POS Opens San Francisco Office, Bringing New Tech Momentum to California’s Restaurant Industry

Lisa Lam • June 25, 2025

On June 21, 2025, ZBS POS officially opened its new office in San Francisco, California. As a key milestone in our national expansion strategy, this new space marks our deeper presence in the California market and reflects our strong commitment to empowering the local restaurant industry with innovative technology.

This year, ZBS POS launched its “City Partner Program,” aiming to build agile, local teams that can better understand market needs and serve clients more efficiently. California has long been one of the most dynamic hubs of American food culture. With the opening of our San Francisco office, we aim to respond to customer needs more quickly, support local businesses more effectively, and become a bridge that connects resources and drives industry innovation.

The grand opening was held at our new office at 1404 Irving St, drawing guests from across the local business community and industry associations. The event was lively and well-attended, and was hosted by Jason, head of the California office’s technical team.

Partners and Leaders Share Their Vision

At 11 a.m., as guests arrived and checked in, the grand opening of the ZBS POS California office officially began. The atmosphere was warm and energetic, with lively conversations throughout the room. Guests exchanged ideas and shared their visions for future collaboration, setting an optimistic tone for the day.

The event kicked off with a speech from Kevin Zhao, Founder and CEO of ZBS POS. He reflected on the company’s journey since its founding in 2010, emphasizing its mission to drive transformation in the restaurant industry through technology. Kevin highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering smarter, more efficient systems and services to clients.

In a rapidly evolving market, he noted, the only way to consistently create value is to stay close to customers and understand their day-to-day challenges. This belief is what led to the launch of the "City Partner Program" this year — an initiative designed to enable more localized operations and faster responses to merchant needs.

Kevin concluded by reaffirming that ZBS POS is not just a technology provider — it aims to be a trusted, long-term partner to the Chinese business community. Looking ahead, the company will continue to enhance its products and services to support small and medium-sized restaurants in their digital transformation and sustainable growth.

Following that, City Partner Richard Lin took the stage to share his personal insights from building the local business. Over the past few months, he and his team have visited countless local restaurants, engaging directly with business owners and listening to their real-world challenges and aspirations.

Richard emphasized that what ZBS POS offers is far more than just an ordering or payment system — it’s a comprehensive solution designed to empower restaurant operations from the ground up. By providing intelligent, integrated services, ZBS POS helps restaurants improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and achieve sustainable growth.

“Our clients’ success is our success,” Richard said — a principle that continues to guide his team’s work every day.

Also in attendance was Edward Siu, President of the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce Federation, who delivered a speech at the event. He praised the AI-powered restaurant system demonstrated by ZBS POS, highlighting its innovative integration of advanced artificial intelligence with restaurant management.

Edward noted that the development of AI technology not only drives business progress but also enhances everyday efficiency and convenience. He commended ZBS POS for its commitment to both technological innovation and community service — actively supporting local businesses while contributing to the growth of the California restaurant scene.

He added that the Chamber looks forward to exploring further opportunities for collaboration with ZBS POS to jointly promote the prosperity and advancement of the Chinese business community in California.

In a brief yet meaningful ribbon-cutting ceremony, several distinguished guests joined together to witness the official opening of the ZBS POS California office. More than just a symbolic moment, the event marked a new chapter for the company — a renewed commitment to deepening its presence in the market and delivering exceptional service to its clients.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests were invited to tour the newly opened office and experience a live demonstration of ZBS POS’s latest-generation system. The showcase featured multiple key modules, including the ordering system, kitchen management, data analytics, and marketing tools.

The technical team provided in-depth explanations of how the system functions in real-world restaurant settings, which was met with great interest and positive feedback from attendees.

Deeply Rooted Locally, Strategically Expanding Nationwide

The opening of the California office marks more than just a physical expansion — it represents a full upgrade in service capabilities and market responsiveness. ZBS POS will leverage this new base to strengthen its localized operations, expand multi-channel service systems, and better support restaurants of all sizes in navigating a competitive market with stability and sustained growth.

At ZBS POS, we believe that technology is not the end goal — service is at the heart of everything we do. We will continue to invest in product development, customer support, and strategic partnerships to deliver fast, reliable, and effective digital solutions across more cities and to more clients nationwide.

Looking ahead, ZBS POS remains committed to a dual strategy of “nationwide reach with deep local focus,” empowering more Chinese-owned restaurants with the tools for efficient management and sustainable success. With technology as our engine, we’re ready to unlock new possibilities across the restaurant industry.
